ArtPrize

Now you each have the opportunity to take an active part in ArtPrize at the WCC in two ways.


First off we will host an opening night reception in our Desdemona Dining Room.  The date is September 22.  Mark your calendars.  WCC members are invived to attend the reception with appetizers and cash bar from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  ArtPrize officially opens to the community at all locations at 6:00 p.m.  The event hours that special night are from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Reservations for the reception are necessary.    

     
Your ArtPrize committee is asking for monetary donations to offset the cost of the appetizers that Andrea will prepare for us and our guests.  We will invite our curator and dollar sponsors, our artists plus some others.  Here is your chance to meet and mingle and cut the ribbon.  Please plan to come.  To make donations no matter how large or small please make checks payable to the Sweet House Foundation (tax deductible) noted for ArtPrize reception and send or drop off at the Club.  Doing so at your earliest convenience will help us in our planning.  Your participation is greatly appreciated.


The second way to take part is by signing up in Diana’s office as a volunteer.  On her bulletin board are four sheets which at this point ask only for name, phone number and email address.  There are four categories: working at voter registration computers, selling merchandise at the store, acting as guides upstairs and down, and roaming which means where needed.  Time and day will be tackled by committee members Jackie and Lou closer to the time.


We will all learn “how-to-do-it” as we get to the task.  Instructions will be available and needed by all.  Spots to sit down will be at work stations or nearby.
